About CBM

CBM is an international Christian development organisation committed to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities or at risk of disability.  Founded in 1908 as Christian Blind Mission, CBM has grown into one of the world’s leading disability and development agencies and currently supports over 700 programmes in 73 of the world’s poorest countries.

An inclusive nation

Established in 2011, CBM South Africa (CBM SA) is the newest member Association of the international CBM family. Driven by its vision of  'an inclusive nation in which people with disabilities enjoy equality, dignity, services, access to opportunities and achieve their full potential', CBM SA is committed to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities in the poorest communities of South Africa.
